Did you know that with VoIP service you can choose any available area code, regardless of where your phone will be physically located. You can request an area code that is local to those who call you the most. If you live in Florida but your relatives live in Syracuse New York for example, You can choose a phone number that is local to Syracuse.

Some Internet Phone providers such as Packet8 offer a primary phone number that is local to you and a second "virtual" number that is local to the area code you select. Just another great feature available with VoIP.

To compare rates and features try our VoIP Internet phone comparison tool.

Choosing a cellular plan that fits your needs can be complicated at times. One thing to consider is minutes per month. People tend to underestimate the number of minutes they actually spend on the phone each month. Especially first time cellular shoppers.

I tell my clients to estimate the number of minutes they think they will use and then go with the next higher plan. This few extra dollars will save them from paying the higher rates once the minutes expire with 10 more days left in the month.

If you are sure you will not use all your minutes most months but will call more at certain times of the year, holidays for example. Then get a plan where your carry-over minutes don’t expire every month. AT&T for example allows you to keep your carry over minutes for 12 months.

PhoneCallWorld.com has a Cellular Comparison Tool that enables you to compare prices and phones from every carrier.
